Whistle for attracting deer NORDIK Hind
- Nordik Hind is a new and unique whistle
- Specifically developed to imitate the distress call of a red deer calf.
- This sound disturbs the herd and attracts them to come closer, often barking. This type of calling is most successful in areas with dense populations of red deer.
Instructions:
Expand the lower part of the call and place the mouthpiece between your lips and exhale. Blow short and longer puffs of air for 15-20 seconds, rest for two to three minutes and continue calling for 15-20 minutes at each stand.
For the best results, open and close your hands before calling for a more authentic sound. Be careful not to blow saliva into the mouthpiece.
With such calling, you may also attract predators like wolves and lynxes in areas where deer are common. This call can also be used to call sikas while running. For this, start blowing gently into the call, bark, and then gently transition into blowing a hard-to-reach high whistling sound, then carefully adjust the strength to blow short and gently and softly bark. Call three times like this, wait, and adjust your next calling sequence to the response of the deer. Note, sometimes the deer approaches without response.
